2015: AURORA PROVINCE

Day 1
We arrived at Baler, Aurora at 6:00pm. We planned to buy our necessities first since the drop off area was on the Balers' Public market. After getting all the necessary things like foods and toiletries for our three days of stay we already proceeded at our accommodation, the name of the resort was "The Secret Spot" which is located at Brgy. Sabang, Aurora, Baler.

By the way, everything is cheap here and people are very friendly to visitors.

Upon arriving at our accommodation place, the owner (Tita Rose) welcomed us at the gate and we had a good conversation with her, She shared her life story and how she got the place and by this time this resort was for sale. Tita Rose was very accommodating and even opened her home to let us cook our own foods.

Well going back to the resort "The Secret Spot" it is amazing! It is located at the sea side wherein waves of the ocean become a music at this moment and the breeze was so relaxing. And now, i think i have to show you the place it was simple and is good for group of friends or even couple.

So yeah! since it's already late and we arrived late we decided to cook dinner so we could sleep and rest for the whole day tour tomorrow. . . .

Day 2
We woke up pretty early, we were able to sleep soundly with the breeze and with the comfortable place. Upon waking up we prepared for our breakfast, take a bath and prepare for our tour. I am so excited! but, of course I've enjoyed looking at the beautiful beach (Sabang beach) and the scenery and as you can see the second day is quite a gloomy day and we were not able to see the sunrise.

The scheduled tour was 7:00am. We were the ones who prepared for our itinerary and gaved it to our tricycle driver. Our driver wanted to be called Kuya Totoy, he also served as our tour guide on our trip.

Our first stop was at the so called "Mother Falls" located at Brgy. Ditumabo, San Luis, Aurora it was 30 min away from Baler, Aurora. When we reached the Tourism Stall the tourism officer interviewed our driver for awhile and so we discovered that he was not accredited by the Tourism Department, anyway, our tour pushed through with him. He lead us to the Mother Falls parking area and in just reaching the area it was already beautiful! and you could see different food stalls and kubo that you could rent.

It was 8:30 am when we begun trekking going to Mother Falls. The trek was an amazing adventure! There were bamboo bridges crossing; River crossing (the flow of the water was really strong); and the Walking for 30 minutes. Everything that we have seen was amazing going to the Mother Falls and when you reach the MOTHER FALLS it is more even amazing, it was really beautiful and we have discovered that the Mother Falls is a source of electricity at San Luis, Aurora it answers why the current of the water on the river was strong! It was really Fun! I would want to go back and trek again!

If you plan to go here be prepare to get wet! Don't wear dresses or maong pants or even don't bring bags as i said you will be wet on this treack if you want to reach the Mother Falls.

And finally, the most awaited "Mother Falls" after 30min trek but it was really fun!

From our itinerary our second from the list was the Millennium Balete Tree at Brgy. Ma. Aurora, Aurora. When we arrived at the place i was amazed how beautiful the tree is, i have seen tons of photos online and i could now tell everyone that is even more amazing when you see it personally.

There's an entrance fee by the way and it was for 50 pesos per head only. After paying you may now enter the gate and go around or even inside the Balete tree.. Yes! you can go inside the tree and be amazed as much as i did.

We stayed at the Millennium Tree for about 30 minutes.

From our list, our Third Stop was at Ermita Hill at Brgy. Baler, Aurora. The scenery and view was really breath taking aside from the beautiful scenery the story and the history behind the place was also heart breaking and inspiring.

At the road side below the Ermita Hill you will see this statue and it shows the family who survived the tsunami on the 80's. I felt the togetherness of this family an it really shows the culture of a Filipino.

For our 4th and last stop of the day is at Aniao Islets of Brgy. Baler, Aurora..it was 20min away from Ermita Hill and we decided to stay longer at this area since it's our last stop.

The Aniao Islets is unique for me you will have to step in rocks, aside from that you will have to encounter lots of starfishes and lots of sea urchin in between the rocks it's a fun experience but im afraid this sea urchin would poke my feet.

More of the view at Aniao Islets upon roaming around

So, we really enjoyed the day I am really satisfied with the trip this day... At exactly 6:00pm we were already at the resort. We rested, ate dinner and sleep.

Day 3
Aw...this is our last day here at Aurora Province, We woke up pretty late after eating we took lots of photos and bid goodbye to Tita Rose and she i so sweet she even hugged us.

After leaving the Secret Spot we headed at Plaza to have picture takings, to buy pasalubongs and to eat some delicacies.....At plaza the area rolling stones caught our attention it is an area where there are lotsssss of foods different stalls with different kind of food and there we decided to eat.

After eating we already went at the terminal going back to Baguio we leave 1:00pm and arrived Baguio 8:00pm.. It was a tiring day but i was really satisfied with everything.

Aurora Province is an old traditional province, at the plaza everything is simple you won't see "sosyal" restaurants or even Jollibee or Mcdonals...... This place is a must see! I will come back soonest!
